Quickstart

This guide will get you all set up and ready to use the Use Aragon Library. We'll cover how to get started and how to make your first querys. We'll also look at where to go next to find all the information you need to take full advantage of Aragon OSx.

Step 1: Bootstrap a react app

first things first, set up your project. WAGMI has a great CLI that will get you up and running with wallet connectors. Use-Aragon works with any react app, but we recommend using NextJS or Vite.

npm init wagmi --template next-rainbowkit

Step 2: Install the library

Install the library using your package manager of choice.

npm install @daobox/use-aragon && npm install -D encoding

Step 3: Setting up the provider

After installing the library, you need to set up the provider. Ensure that you wrap your app in the AragonProvider component. This will allow you to use the useAragon hook in your app.

Step 4: Make your first query

Now you can make your first query. All hooks are exported from the @daobox/use-aragon package. The useFetchDao hook is a great place to start. It will fetch the DAO's metadata and return it as a DaoDetails object.
